Building skills #1 - Sequence Knitting

In order to create more interesting knits, I am growing my skills through a variety of sources. I like challenging myself or discovering easy ways to make interesting patterns.

This post is about Sequence Knitting (by Cecelia Camporchiaro). I started looking at the book which I have for a couple of years now and worked through her lessons on 1-row knitting. This is where each row is a repeat of the row before. I even made swatches of the 5 classes of 1-row knitting. Did you know that using a certain sequence of knits and purls you can get a box pleat or an accordion feel?

This also reinforced the concept of 3D knitting (a class that I embarked on in Knit Stars given by Olga Buraya-Kefelian in Season 8). I am feeling my creativity grow with each swatch I make. I have expanded to make a very basic scarf using this method. Check out my results.
